Clairin Vaval rum is made from pure sugar cane, fermented with natural yeast, double distilled in a single pot still. This rum takes its name and pays homage to the first people of Haiti, the Arawaks. This is the third release bottled in 2015.
The Arawak distillery is located near Cavaillon, a village on the south of the island known for its lively market in true African style. The distillery is owned by the Vaval family since 1947. Their plantation of 20 hectares is planted with a variety of organic sugar cane called "Madame Meuze”.
