The long aging in oak barrels and the high amount of Rye in the mash bill gives Old Grand Dad Bourbon a special aroma and genuine Bourbon character. Raymond Hayden started his first distillery in 1880 and two years later, he founded Old Grand-Dad. He named the distillery and the brand after his grandfather Basil Hayden, who launched the dynasty and is now mapped to each bottle.
