Tasting notes
Autumn gold
Notes of freshly ground Java coffee beans, toffee and orange.
The palate is ample and rich with notes of caramel, raisins, dark chocolate with a slight salty hint coming from the ageing in sherry barrels.
Sweet and dry with long echoing notes of sherry and cocoa.
Glenfarclas is one of the few independent distilleries in Scotland that still use traditional manufacturing methods. Their whiskies are characterized by their depth and richness.Using direct fire at the time of distillation and ageing their whiskies in Spanish Oloroso Sherry casks, lends their spirits a distinctive burnt caramel taste along with rich sherry notes. The distillery is run by the Grant family since 1865 and is now in the hands of the fifth and sixth generation. The family is bound to the original vision of creating an extraordinary Scotch Whisky keeping the traditional Speyside style.
