Independent bottler Chapter 7 presents the first bottling of a heavily peated Knockdhu in the Monologue series. This single malt was distilled in 2006, bottled in 2022 & aged in a single Bourbon cask.

This cask is an excellent example of peat evolution. Peat is typically dominant in the first 10-12 years of a malt's existence before evolving into rustic notes and fading to the background as it ages.

The Dailuaine distillery is known for producing robust malts due to a long fermentation process, quick distillation, and stainless steel condensers. Most of their output is used to blend Johnny Walker, with only 2% sold as single malts.
