Ein besonderer Melasse-Rum, der 1997 destilliert wurde und 20 Jahre lang perfekt in Ex-Bourbon-Fässern reifte. El Dorado Port Mourant 1997 wurde 2017 in Guyana in Fassstärke abgefüllt, nicht verschnitten und nicht kühlgefiltert. Dieser Rum ist die erste Abfüllung einer limitierten Serie, die aus drei historischen hölzernen Pot Stills hergestellt wurde: dem Enmore Wooden Continuous Coffey Still, dem Port Mourant Double Wooden Pot Still und dem Versailles Wooden Single Pot Still.
The Demerara Distillery dates back to the 17th century and it is considered one of the oldest distilleries in the world; throughout the years the original stills were kept and are presently used, each creating a different style of spirit.
