The Art Nouveau 2-Tap Fountain is the table-format edition — a faithful Belle Époque replica with a mouth-blown glass reservoir of approximately 1.5 litres mounted on solid brass taps. Designed for the home bar and the small dinner table. THE GLASSWORK & METALWORK: the reservoir is hand-blown glass — each piece carrying minor asymmetries and the slight thickness variation of the breath that shaped it. The brass base houses two precision drip-flow taps for the controlled drop-by-drop water dispensing that the louche ritual requires; faster flow drowns the spirit, slower flow loses the visual. The two-tap configuration serves two glasses simultaneously, sized for an intimate evening rather than the brasserie counter. WHO IS THIS FOR: the home bar with serious Val-de-Travers absinthes on the shelf — Bohème, Green Velvet — where the louche ritual is part of the evening. At the height of absinthe's reign over Parisian cafés — 1880 to 1914, the Belle Époque proper — the absinthe fountain was the centrepiece of every serious bar. Mouth-blown glass reservoirs on solid brass bases, draped with hand-cast figures in the Art Nouveau idiom, reigned over the marble counters of the brasseries from Pigalle to the Val-de-Travers. The form is functional as well as ornamental: the slow drop of iced water over a sugar cube on a slotted spoon was — and remains — the only ritual that releases the proper absinthe louche.
