A unique single malt whisky with a vibrant and crisp flavour profile. The Hakushu Distillery was founded in 1973, built in the deep forest of Mt. Kaikomagatake in the Japanese Southern Alps. The distillery is known for producing gently smoky single malt whiskies, fresh with herbal notes.
Composed of a non-peated whisky aged in American oak, a non-peated whisky aged in ex-sherry/Spanish Oak, and a peated whisky aged in American oak. As such, the peat level goes down to a mild 7-9 ppm. This product is no longer produced.
The Yamazaki Distillery was awarded whisky visitor attraction of the year by Icons of Whisky in 2015. The Museum showcases some 7,000 samples of malt whisky.
