Created in collaboration with Lime House Restaurant in Singapore and Precious Liquors. This heavy Trinidad rum was distilled in 1998, aged in oak barrels over 22 years, and bottled in 2021 by Independent Bottler Precious Liquors.
This is Lime House's first official bottling and a limited edition of only 174 bottles, filled at cask strength 64.7% ABV.
The Caroni Distillery was established in 1918 and closed in 2001 due to the downfall of the country's sugarcane production. As a result, their vintage casks have become increasingly difficult to obtain as their stocks decline.

On April 12th 2019 Luca Gargano and 26 Caroni fans gathered to select six barrels of rums from 1998 to create this blend, dedicated to Kevon "Slippery" Moreno" who has worked at the distillery for 10 years.
Distilled in 1996 and aged entirely in the Trinidad. During that time, the angel’s share claimed 85% of the spirit.
This rum is part of the Caroni Employees series, a true gem and a very precious collector's bottle from an era of rums that no longer exists. Limited edition of only 1400 bottles that will surely be coveted by collectors and enthusiasts.
A fine old rum from the West Indies, that celebrates the 100th anniversary of the Caroni distillery. This release contains rum aged for 18 years in Trinidad, bottled in 2018 at 90º imperial proof, just like the original version from the 1940s, exported to the UK during the by Tate & Lyle.
The special bottling had been created by La Maison & Velier and it is presented in a traditional Caroni bottle with the historic bottle labelling from the 1940's version.
For this release, twenty three Caroni experts gathered in Cognac on 12th April 2019 to sample the final barrels of stock imported from Trinidad and Guyana. They selected 22 casks to be blended, all embodying the range of styles from the lost distillery including heavy and lighter column still rums.
This is a very special bottling and the penultimate to be released, concluding Velier's stock acquired shortly after the distillery closed.
All the rums for this blend were distilled in 1996 and aged on the Trinidad archipelago until 2008, before being moved to Distillers Ltd in Guyana for the final maturation. During that time, the angel’s share claimed 85% of the liquid, concentrating and creating an exuberant spirit.
This particular bottling has a very aromatic profile with hints of tobacco, wood and caramel. A unique bottling from the 1996 vintage, distilled and matured in Trinidad. Bottled in 2017 at cask strength by independent bottler Velier, capturing the special character of the renowned lost distillery. The Caroni Distillery produced intense yet very complex rums.
A special bottling from the last drops of the 1998 vintage barrels of 100% Trinidad molasses rum, once produced at the Caroni Distillery.
Caroni 17 Extra Strong is an independent bottling from Velier. This rum matured in Trinidad for fifteen years in a Bourbon cask, then was sent to Scotland, where it was aged for two more years and finally bottled in 2015.
The ageing in the island's tropical climate gives this rum a lighter petrol aroma and an intense bouquet. The label is based on the 1940s original design.
A premium molasses rum from the 1998 vintage barrels of 100% Trinidad rum once produced at the Caroni Distillery. Aged on the island until 22 September 2013 then shipped to Scotland where it was bottled in November 2013. The label is based on the 1940’s original design.
