FiGee Rum Selection

An aromatic Caribbean rum made from sugar cane juice and molasses. Mount Gay Eclipse is distilled in a traditional column & double pot still, matured for two years in charred ex-American Kentucky Whiskey Barrels. This rum is ideal for long drinks and cocktails.

For this release Master Blender, Trudiann Branker chose non-traditional casks made from a type of oak found in the Andean Range of Colombia.

The blend comes from a single batch, pot still rum aged for 14 years in ex-bourbon casks, finished for 11 months in Virgin Andean Oak Casks.

Andean Oak Cask is the fourth edition of the Master Blender Collection, bottled at 48% ABV, non-chill-filtered.

Made from a blend of the finest rums that had been aged in American bourbon barrels for 8 - 15 years. An Extra Old blend with a characteristic oak note and perfectly balanced flavor.

Samaroli Barbados 1998 is a Bajan molasses rum bottled in 2015 from cask no. 11, with 250 bottles released. Bottled at 45% volume, it shows the Italian house's quieter side: mature island stock brought down to a measured strength, with emphasis on polish rather than force.

AGEING: the rum spent around seventeen years in cask before bottling, with refinement completed in Scotland according to Samaroli's established practice. The cooler climate gives a slower, cleaner evolution than full tropical ageing, keeping the Barbados frame precise while letting the wood speak clearly.

SERVING: serve neat at room temperature in a tulip glass. It suits a slower after-dinner pour, especially with roasted cashews, aged Gouda or a medium-bodied Nicaraguan cigar. A single small drop of still water can loosen the cask structure.

This outstanding spirit that has been refining in the bottle since 2013. Composed from a brilliant assembly of rums from the Mount Gay Distillery. Bottled in Scotland in a small batch of only 800 numbered bottles. The perfect addition to a collection of rare rums.

Mount Gay XO is composed of a blend of rich and mellow rums that had been aged in American bourbon barrels & Cognac Casks. The wide range of wooden cask combined with the tropical climate of the island speeds up the maturation, producing concentrated aromas & flavours. This blend has a particular oaky taste.
