The opulent edition celebrates the granting of the Royal Warrant to John Walker & Sons in 1934. The exceptional blend includes whisky reserves from distilleries operating during George’s twenty-five-year reign (1910 – 1936). Precious whiskies such as Benrinnes, Cardhu and irreplaceable casks from the now-closed Port Ellen and Port Dundas distillery.
Tasting notes
Sweet, smoky aromas from Port Ellen, followed by notes of orange, raisins, figs and cinnamon.
Abundant spice and dried fruits from Speyside and Highland whiskies are perfectly balanced with vanilla, dark chocolate, toffee and roast nuts.
Port Ellen gives a coastal smokiness that gathers momentum through the long finish.
