Rundlets and kilderkins are small oak casks used during the 17th and 18th centuries. Each holds 18 gallons or 68 litres, allowing an increased surface contact for a richer and more mature taste. Longrow Rundlets & Kilderkin was distilled in November 2001, matured for 11 years and bottled in January 2013 at a cask strength of 51.7%. The 2013 edition is the second release in Springbank's Rundlets & Kilderkins series. This is a limited edition of 9000 bottles available worldwide. Named after a "Lost Distillery" from the Victorian day, Longrow whiskies are produced at the Springbank Distillery. These single malts are heavily peated and double-distilled, reflecting an old style of whiskies with an oily, full-bodied flavour profile.
