A limited edition by independent bottler Samaroli. This Speyside single malt scotch whisky from Allt-a-Bhainne was distilled in 1995, aged in a single Hogshead – Refill Bourbon cask and bottled in 2023. Allt-a-Bhainne whiskies are primarily crafted for blending purposes. Single malt expressions from this distillery are rarely encountered and are typically discovered as independent bottlings, making them sought-after gems amongst whisky collectors.
Tasting notes
At first, traditional Speyside whisky aromas dominate the nose. Bread, yeast, fruit, and damp prairie grass gradually transform into a bouquet of balsamic rosemary, oregano, and lavender tones.
The palate is well-defined with dry, savoury, rich flavours.
The finish is fruity, balsamic and mineral.
