Tasting notes
Dry white wine, with pale yellow lights
Mellow and mild with hardly any prickle. Honeycomb, honey and trace of beeswax. Floral note of dry grasses, fresh orchard fruits on a earthy base.
The texture is smooth and creamy, the taste is intense and mild overall, at once dry and slightly coating, with a subtle hint of beeswax reappearing.
Rather long and warming with white pepper that turns into chilli in the aftertaste. A delicate dry finish makes the palate tingle. A drop of water tames the chilli spice.
An unusual and very beautiful example of a Singleton Dufftown, which is of exceptional quality at this age. A first edition, made exclusively from American oak refill barrels, expressing the aromatic side of The Singleton Dufftown's rather mild character.
