Samaroli Glenlossie 1988 | 19 years Single Malt Whisky

Samaroli Glenlossie 1988 was bottled in March 2007 as part of the Coilltean Harmony range. This Speyside single malt is bottled at 45% volume.

MATURATION: The release was drawn from individual cask number 1953, with an outturn of 310 bottles.

SUGGESTIONS: Begin with a small neat pour in a tulip glass, with water available separately if desired. Plain brioche or a mild soft cheese offers a restrained accompaniment.

Tasting notes

Color

Golden amber.

Aroma

White grape, pear, banana and grassy notes.

Taste

Sweet and oily, with wood, grass and pepper.

Finish

Short finish with oak, pepper and gentle sweetness.

GLENLOSSIE DISTILLERY

Glenlossie was founded in 1876 at Thomshill, near Elgin in Speyside. Much of its production has traditionally supplied blended Scotch, including the Haig range. Independent bottlers also release individual casks as single malt. Samaroli, the Italian bottling house operating since 1968, has released several Glenlossie over the years.
