The youngest of DOW'S Aged Tawny Collection, aged for ten years in the Boa Vista Lodge. The collection displays the singular identity of the wines, by balancing the wood character with the original fine fruit flavours of the grapes. Despite its age, this young wine contains vibrant fruit flavours combined with an intense complexity coming from the prolonged ageing in well-seasoned oak barrels. Dow’s port wines are less sweet that other wines. Dow’s 10 Year Old Tawny is a perfect match to sweet desserts, such as apple pie or chocolate mousse. Serve slightly chilled. It will last for up to one month once open.
Tasting notes
Deep russet.
Vibrant aromas of red cherry and almonds coupled with toffee and vanilla notes.
On the palate this wine is mouth-filling, with peppery spice and a touch of marmalade preceding a full finish with Dow’s trademark dry edge.
