As part of their ongoing support of Mexican culture, the Jose Cuervo family commissions a Mexico-based artist to design original artwork for the collector's box each year. Each bottle is numbered and hand-dipped in wax. For the 2019 edition, Mexican artist Jorge Pardo explores the farmers' expertise and tells the story of the "jimadores" working in the agave fields. Reserva de La Familia Extra Añejo is handcrafted from 100% blue Agave with a minimum of ten years of maturity. Aged three years in French and American oak barrels. The final blend contains tequila from reserves over 30 years old.
