Despite not being classified as a Tequila, Porfidio is considered the ultimate expression in the art of tequila making. It undeniably stands out as the industry's most disputed and unique spirit from Jalisco. Porfidio Añejo Extra "The Original Vintage 2007 Super Jalisco Edition" is crafted from 100% Blue Agave, sourced exclusively from Jalisco. The juice from the agave is cold-pressed to ensure a reduced methanol content and to create an ultra-smooth spirit. The spirit is then aged for five years in a single, hand-toasted Oak Barrel. During the final ageing stage, it partially matures in the ocean through a process known as Tour-Du-Monde. Porfidio is presented in a hand-made glass bottle with a green cactus figurine and a metallic label for a sparkling effect. Non-chill filtered, 100% free of additives and artificial colour.
