Hibiki Mount Fuji is bottled at 43% volume in a limited-edition presentation decorated with the mountain, gold clouds and flowering plants. MATURATION: The malt and grain whiskies are each aged for at least 17 years. The blend undergoes a further period of maturation before bottling. SUGGESTIONS: serve at rest: no ice, no water needed, room temperature in a small tasting glass or a fine crystal tulip. The silken texture and floral register open over fifteen to twenty minutes in the glass. Pair with fresh strawberry mochi, a light wagashi (Japanese confection), or simply the ceremony of the occasion
Tasting notes
Moderately deep amber.
Peach, melon, rose and jasmine, with vanilla, butter and incense.
Smooth and light, with custard, milk caramel and a gentle sweetness.
Sweet fruit lingers on the finish.
Its name means 'harmony' or 'resonance' in Japanese, and the blend itself reflects this ambition: a finely tuned marriage of malt and grain whiskies from Suntory's distilleries (Yamazaki, Hakushu, Chita), frequently matured in Mizunara oak — the Japanese oak with its inimitable aromatic signature. The Hibiki bottle is itself an object: its 24 facets represent the 24 seasons (sekki) of the Japanese lunar calendar. Hibiki has repeatedly been named among the world's finest blended whiskies and remains one of the most sought-after brands among collectors.
