So after another year of aging in the same cask, Samaroli brings you once again a marriage of opposites. The austerity of this single malt mingles with the pungent sweetness of the sherry cask. The 2018 Edition has developed more rounder tones than the previous bottling. Limited only 291 bottles.
Tasting notes
Amber
Sweet hints of dried fruit and quince followed by sulfur notes.
An oily mouthfeel, the saltiness is balanced by a sherried sweetness on the palate, juicy berries making an appearance alongside dried fruit, quince and a whisper of smoke. Sharpness and sweetness battle, and sweetness prevails.
Juicy red fruits remain with a touch of cooking spice.
