Chryseia 2017 is characterised by rich structure, elegance, and freshness. This wine is produced from the finest quality grapes drawn from Prats & Symington’s Upper Douro Valley vineyards, and it is composed of 75% Touriga Nacional and 25% Touriga Franca grapes, aged for 16 months in 400-liter neutral French oak barrels.
Tasting notes
The intense red garnet colour reflects its great concentration.
The perfectly integrated oak integrates well with the balsamic notes of the Touriga Franca and with the floral notes of the Touriga Nacional.
A vibrant and strong structure. The tannins are round and soft with elegance, minerality and freshness.
The finish is very long and aromatic, with a touch of chocolate.
