Tasting notes
Golden-brown
The nose has a great rhythm with alternating tones. First of all, Speyside classics: bread, yeast, fruit and damp meadow grass, and then notes of balsamic, rosemary, oregano and lavender.
The palate is very dry, sapid and tasty with lavish tones of fruit, balsamic and mineral notes.
Balsamic and mineral notes on the finish.
This little known distillery found in the Fiddich Glen is owned by Pernod Ricard. The name means 'milk on the burn (stream)' in Gaelic. It's a modern facility that has never had a distillery named bottling released and no plans to either. All the whisky goes to blending contracts, although a few independent bottlings are available from time to time when an exceptional cask is found, as this current bottling by Samaroli.
