The John Walker is a tribute to the life and progress, ideas and legacy of the man who began it all. Only whiskies that John Walker himself might have known in his lifetime are selected for this famous Founder's Blend, some of them from distilleries now closed. Nine great distilleries supply their exquisite whisky, which is hand blended in the traditional way in very limited quantities and finally stored in a 100-year-old cask. The blended whisky itself is refined, elegant, distinctly complex, and harmonious.
Tasting notes
Very rich on the nose, with hints of ripe fruit, overlaid with lighter notes of fresh citrus.
The first sip of this full-bodied whisky is an explosion of flavours of vanilla and oak. Its elegant structure is instantly revealed as opulent scents unfold and ultimately land on a bed of softness.
These continue to evolve and allow the characteristic smoke to emerge on the finish. This is a unique whisky that stands out from the rest.
John Walker is bottled in a beautiful handmade Baccarat crystal decanter with a 24-carat gold plated bottle neck. It is housed in a lacquered case that took sixty hours to make by hand. Each decanter is individually numbered and comes with a certificate of authenticity.Enjoy The John Walker as you wish, but we recommend it neat. Pour 4.5 cl into a Baccarat crystal glass.
