Award winning London dry gin, five times distilled. Gilpin's gin has a unique taste with sage, borage, lime, bitter orange as well as the more traditional botanicals of juniper, coriander, angelica root and lemon peel. Distilled in London with water from the Holy Well Spring at Cartmel in the English Lake District and naturally filtered through willow peat and limestone. Numbered Bottles.
The distillation year is not a "vintage" date as the producer strives to make every batch identical & do not claim that the botanicals or spirit used were picked/distilled during the calendar year in question (which would be required for a true vintage). After distillation the gin is kept in an inert cask until bottling. The gin does not change or develop in the cask. The batch number then shows which batch of the relevant year the bottle comes from. Each bottle then has its own unique number.
