Broomlands 1.2 was distilled in 2016 from Irish barley grown by Mark Brownie at the Brownes’ farmhouse, located in Broomlands. The farm overlooks the Urrin river valley where the Clonroche soil – clay-rich & moisture-retentive – makes a productive terroir. Matured in a spectrum of fresh, super-premium oak: 34% first-fill US oak 18% virgin US oak 28% premium French oak and 20% Vin Doux Naturel – sweet fortified wine casks. This is a limited release of 10000 bottles, filled in September 2020 at 50% ABV without colouring, chill-filtration or any additives.
