Independent bottler WITL presents a single malt, single cask whisky from the Caol Ila Distillery. Distilled in August 2010 and bottled in October 2022. Matured for twelve years in a bourbon hogshead cask, single cask # 314030/2010. Non-chill filtered, free of colouring and bottled at cask strength. This is a limited edition of 415 bottles.
Tasting notes
Pure peat stands out quickly, with some iodized notes and sea spray.
Lemon and olive are finely found on the nose and palate. Peat is present but not intrusive. Hints of vanilla.
The finish gives way to the maritime and peaty side, all in elegance rather than power.
