Made exclusively from Xarel-lo grapes, a variety indigenous to the Penedès region. The grapes come from vineyards over 80 years old, located in areas with special soils and microclimates. Electio 2012 is part of a collection of Microcuvée wines, an exclusive selection of organic and biodynamic wines produced in very limited quantities, only in the best years. After a light maceration of four hours, the grapes are gently pressed and then fermented in New and 2nd-year French Allier and Hungarian barrels for 18 days at an average temperature of 17 °C. After the fermentation, the wine matures in the same barrels for four months on the lees and with periodic ba^tonnage.
