Partly playing with the 'missing link' between gin and genever but from our perspective definitely a gin for it’s flowery and citrusy complexity.

The gin is named after a historic Dutch sailing vessel whose freight contained exotic spices too daring for the local Genever recipes - but wildly perfect for a VL92 Gin.
Premium aged gin composed of 55% barrel aged malt wine, the typical base of genever. VL92 YY is a hybrid between a Genever and a Gin. VL92 YY is non-chill filtered to preserve its full aroma. This may also lead to fine sediments at the base of the bottle. It is natural and not a sign of minor quality. Only 1050 bottles produced.
This extraordinary gin was created as a tribute to the 1736 Gin Act historical event.
Made with Van Toor’s own 100% malt wine Genever as raw material, this gin undergoes a meticulous process of distillation, combined with classic 18th-century gin botanicals such as angelica, orris root, cilantro seed and violet root added during the final distillation.
The result is an explosion of flavours unfolding several layers. To hold the essential oils, the 1736 Gin Act is bottled at a higher ABV of 45%. This is a must have for gin connoisseurs and aficionados
