Vitea | Barbera d'Asti DOCG

Cvrsvs Vitea 2020 is a Barbera d'Asti DOCG red wine from Piedmont. It shows ripe cherry fruit, floral lift and the appetising acidity typical of Barbera.

TERROIR: the wine comes from the Terre Alfieri hills around San Damiano d'Asti, an area of calcareous clay slopes between Asti and Roero. These soils suit Barbera because they keep freshness and perfume in a naturally generous red variety.

SERVING: serve at 16 to 18 C with tajarin, veal, salumi, pizza or medium aged cheese.

Chianti Classico DOCG

Isole e Olena Chianti Classico 2022 is the estate's classic DOCG red, based on 90% Sangiovese with 10% Canaiolo. It is also a historically important release, coming from the final vintage fully shaped by Paolo De Marchi.

WINEMAKING: The wine matures for 12 months in large 2,700 litre oak casks, followed by further bottle rest. It is bottled at 14% volume and keeps the traditional Chianti balance of freshness, grip, and food friendly structure.

SERVING: Serve at 16°C with pasta al ragù, tomato based dishes, roast chicken with rosemary, saltimbocca, osso buco, or aged Pecorino. Drink now and over the next 5 to 8 years. A short opening in the glass is enough for dinner service.

Toscana IGT | 100% Sangiovese | SuperTuscan

Cepparello 2022 is the flagship Toscana IGT red from Isole e Olena, made entirely from Sangiovese. The warm vintage was balanced by cooler nights, giving the wine concentration without losing the line of acidity that defines the cuvée.

WINEMAKING: The wine matures for 19 months in barriques, tonneaux and large botti, then rests further before release. It is bottled at 15% volume and built for long ageing rather than immediate softness.

SERVING: Begin opening from 2028, with a strong window from 2030 to 2045. Serve at 18°C after decanting with bistecca alla Fiorentina, braised wild boar, truffle dishes, game, or mature Pecorino. Give young bottles at least one hour in a decanter.

Alto Piemonte | Red Wine

La Maggiorina 2022 is Le Piane's red field blend from Alto Piemonte, harvested from old mixed vineyards with more than thirteen local varieties. It is the estate's lighter, more immediate red, but it still carries the savoury detail and mountain freshness that make Boca distinctive.

WINEMAKING: The varieties are picked together, fermented as a field blend, and matured in large oak barrels. The result stays transparent and energetic, with 12.5 to 14% volume depending on the final blend.

SERVING: Serve at 15 to 16°C with agnolotti del plin, mushroom risotto, roast poultry, grilled lamb, or young alpine cheese. It is ready now and can develop well for several years.

2020 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione DOCG

Argenina 2020 is the Gran Selezione expression of Podere il Palazzino, grown in Monti in Chianti within the Gaiole area. It is made from Sangiovese and reflects a warm, concentrated vintage with enough freshness to keep the wine upright and precise.

WINEMAKING: The wine is matured in used barriques and large casks, then bottled unfiltered. It carries 14.5% volume and is built for the table rather than for a simple aperitif pour.

SERVING: Open from 2025, with its best window from 2027 to 2035. Serve at 17 to 18°C after a short decant with bistecca alla Fiorentina, wild boar ragù, roast lamb, or aged Pecorino Toscano. A 30 minute decant is useful in the first years.

Nebbiolo & Vespolina Grapes

Le Piane Boca D.O.C 2007 is made from a blend of 85% Nebbiolo grapes and 15% Vespolina grapes, sourced from 30 to 50-year-old vineyards with mineral-rich soils of volcanic porphyric gravel.

The grapes undergo a long fermentation process with their skins in open steel and wood casks. The malolactic fermentation occurs spontaneously in wooden barrels following the harvest during springtime.

After 3-4 years, the wine is bottled without filtration or fining, and it is then allowed to rest for an additional six months before being made available for sale.

D.O.C Bolgheri Rosso | MAGNUM Woodbox

This Magnum bottle is presented in a wooden box.

Villa Donoratico Bolgheri D.O.C Rosso 2018 is a consistent and complex red wine deeply linked to its area of origin. This versatile wine pairs well with roasts, red meat, game, and medium-mature cheeses.

The vineyard is located beyond the Avenue of Pines and the Villa Serristori, and it traces the boundary between the hot summer heat and the cool breeze of the dense vegetation. The roots of the plants find their nourishment from the subsoil, which ranges from sand to stone. This unique combination gives the wine its distinct mineral character.

Composition:
50% Cabernet Sauvignon
30% Merlot
15% Cabernet Franc
5% Petit Verdot

The grapes are carefully handpicked and sorted twice before being sent to the tanks. Each grape variety is fermented and macerated separately in stainless steel tanks for about 20 to 25 days while maintaining a controlled temperature that does not exceed 28°C.

After the malolactic fermentation, 80% of the wine is aged in 500-liter French and Austrian oak tonneaux, while the remaining 20% is aged in 225-liter French oak barriques. Finally, the wine is refined in the bottle.

2018 Barbera D'Asti D.O.C.G | MAGNUM

Barbera is a staple grape from Piedmont in Northern Italy, the variety is robust and it can easily acclimate to different regions. Unlike other red grapes varieties, this one has a relatively long hang time on the vine, which contributes to the dense flavours of the wine.

The 2018 Cvrsvs Vitae has well-defined acidity, making it the ideal pairing to duck, goose and dark meat dishes. The style of wine is pleasant, easy to drink with intense aromas. The producer Carlin de Paolo focuses on low yields and ages the wine for over a year in small wooden barrels to attain more structure and maturity.

Serving temperature: 16-18 degrees. Drinking maturity: within 3 - 5 years. Open the bottle at least 1 hour before and serve at 18°C in red wine glasses. Composition: 100% Barbera grapes.
