As the name indicates, Yoichi Woody & Vanillic is full of oak and vanilla notes. This whisky has a stronger taste than Miyagikyo malts.
The Yoichi distillery produces rich, peaty and bold malts. Getting its distinct aroma and body directly from heating distillation, in which the pot stills are heated with fine powdered natural coal a traditional method that is hardly ever used today.
Full-bodied whisky with fruity aromas and subtle peaty and smoky notes coming from the traditional method of direct coal-fired distillation as well as a salty hint brought by the sea breeze during the aging process.
